Who are these creatures that have found themselves in these niches around the berms? Are they aware that they play such an integral role in this great effort to “help” the river?

The project centers on restoring the River Lea through the efforts of aquatic gardeners who replant reed beds and build woody berms to return the river to its "natural state." Using cinematic storytelling from the perspective of ‘The Settler,’ a fictional aquatic creature, the narrative explores the impacts of environmental destruction and the habitats created by these interventions, focusing on the shifting distribution of aquatic life.
